Introduction
This page sets out how HUNCH meets its obligations to you — as a consumer, as the owner of your own data, and as someone trusting us with a payment. It's a companion to our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Returns/Refund Policies, written to explain the standards behind those documents rather than restate their clauses.
1. Consumer Protection
We operate in line with the consumer protection standards of the State of Qatar. Concretely: prices shown to you don't change after you've paid, product descriptions are written to match what you'll receive, and our Returns and Refund Policies set out specific, dated commitments rather than discretionary ones. Where Qatari consumer protection law grants you a right, nothing in our Terms restricts it.
2. Payment Security
We do not build payment infrastructure — we use it. Every transaction on hunchhouse.com is processed by Tap Payments and the card and wallet networks it connects to, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard, and NAPS, all of which operate under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Your card number and payment credentials are transmitted directly to our payment processor; they are never stored on, or visible to, HUNCH's own systems.
3. Privacy and Data Protection
We process personal data under Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016), and we apply GDPR principles as a matter of practice where they set a higher bar. That means: we collect only what's needed to serve you, we tell you what we collect and why, and we give you a direct path to access, correct, or delete your data. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
4. Anti-Fraud
We monitor orders for signals consistent with payment fraud — mismatched billing and delivery details, unusual order patterns, and signals passed to us by our payment processor's own fraud tooling. Where an order is flagged, we may hold it for review or ask for additional verification before it ships. This protects both genuine customers, whose payment details we never want compromised, and HUNCH, against chargeback abuse.
5. Intellectual Property
The HUNCH name, our product photography, and our site design are ours, and we protect them. Equally, we respect the marks of the clubs, federations, and manufacturers referenced across our catalogue — where a product carries a third-party crest or logo, that mark belongs to its owner, and its presence on our site doesn't imply an affiliation we haven't stated. Full detail is in Section 12 of our Terms & Conditions.
6. Accessibility
We aim for hunchhouse.com to be usable regardless of how you browse — keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and sufficient colour contrast are part of how we build the Site, not an afterthought. If you encounter a barrier using the Site, tell us at info@hunchhouse.com — accessibility issues are treated as bugs, and we want to know about them.
7. Responsible Marketing
We only send marketing communications to customers who've opted in, and every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. We don't use manufactured urgency — a countdown timer or "only X left" claim on our Site reflects a real constraint, not a sales tactic. Advertising claims about a product (authenticity, materials, edition status) are held to the same accuracy standard as the product page itself.
8. Ethical Business Practices
We sell what we say we're selling. Where a product is not manufacturer-authentic, we say so on the listing rather than let the word "jersey" or a photograph do the implying. We do not manufacture scarcity, and we do not use dark patterns — hidden fees revealed only at the last checkout step, pre-ticked add-ons, or a cancellation flow that's harder to complete than signup.
9. Customer Rights
In summary, and set out in full across our other legal pages, you have the right to: know what we collect about you and why; access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data; return an eligible item within 14 days; receive a refund on the timeline our Refund Policy commits to; and reach a person, not just an automated system, when something goes wrong. info@hunchhouse.com reaches our support team directly.
